Remington Extractor Collar

How can I tell the difference between a milled and stamped Remington extractor collar?
Years ago Mr. Beard told me that a circled "R" extractor collar was stamped.
But how can I tell the physical difference? Most other stamped parts are easy to distinguish but I am having problems with the EC.

Without the extractor installed look at the "hooks" that retain said extractor. The milled one will look sharp and square, the stamped will be thinner and have a rounded look to them. If you get a chance to see them side by side the difference is quite obvious and easy to see.
