I bought this rifle around 20 years ago. I was once told this was salvaged from the USS California. Is there any way to positively confirm this?

One of the problems with rifle #211946 is that we are not sure of the manufacturer.
The rifle was one of 91 rifles in Battery #4 on the USS California on an inventory salvage report dated
2/13/1942
