Final new photos this morning of my last 1903...

Well I took these photos in the morning light to see which ones I will use on Gunbroker soon to move this rifle. The photos weren't as good as I'd hoped, but I didn't have to stand outside in the cold.
Anyway, I think that they do show details that a buyer would want to look at.

I'll use some of these, but man, I do hate the glare of direct sunlight...

Im trying to show the texture of the wood and the traces of any original finish on the metal. It's important to realize that the finish on this rifle is its original and so a study can be made of this rifle to use in comparison with other rifles.

                Thanks Dan!
These are the types of photos that I would want to see if I were wanting to buy an old gun.

Nice Fred, you always seem to find the gems out there. Still wondering how you happen to do that.

John, not having to go to work anymore, sure gives me time to look. I haven't been looking for anything else for over a year now though, so there's no telling what really interesting things I've not seen.
They're out there and some really nice stuff is mixed in with the more commonly found stuff. It isn't difficult to recognize though.

It seems that I don't get out enough. Or....I am looking in the wrong places. Maybe I should start with the garage sales

All of the dozen or so that've been in the gun rack here were found online.
Close up photos showing good details of the areas on the rifles that collectors want to see enabled me to see that hey we're good investments.
