    .30 caliber 2 groove barrels

Was Remington the only company to make 2 groove barrels in .30 caliber for military bolt action rifles...? The only other one I see is the Johnson Automatic replacement barrels for the M1917.

RA & JA both used the two-groove rifling.

HS [High Standard] maade four groove for Smith-Corona and arsenal rebuilding.

You will also find some 2 groove barrels marked SC/month-year, but I don't know who made them.

Ferris' book mentions Remington providing RIA 2100 blanks that Savage sized as prescribed by RIA.

Just read that JA made their own barrels..... it just intrigued me that the rifling looked like Remingtons two groove. Apparently the hook rifling method was used by others besides Remington.

JA was an Army Ordnance spare parts contractor. As such they would make their own barrels.

                Smith-Corona also made two-groove barrels.

There was an American rifleman articles from late 90's(?), regarding JA making thr rifle for the Dutch and Iit specified that Melvin Johnson, bought the rifling machines to avoid a government order that claim existing equipment was tagged for US usage.

As I recall in extremely small quantities - correct?

Hatcher mentioned on the 1917.. 81,571 JA barrels were two groove. What say you JB? And I'll leave SC 2 grooves to him too.
