    746,xxx with RIA 1917 Barrel

Am I correct that a 1917 SA receiver with a 10-17 RIA barrel is a rebuild? The barrel date is basically correct for the serial number. Were there any cases of an RIA barrel used in this time frame? I'm looking at this as a coincidence on a post WWI rebuild. Thanks in advance!

You are correct. The originality of the combination you describe is very highly unlikely (but not impossible).

I ah\\have a Nov 1918 SA receiver with a RIA Nov 1918 barrel, but it's a mix master, and it's got them funny pipe wrench marks on the barrel, and the bolt body is electro penciled with a sn that's *close* to a known WW1 Marine MoH awardee's 1903 sn.

Thank you for the replies. I did not want to miss something for lack of knowledge.
