    question on unmrked 1903A3 bolt

I found this bolt in a small box that I keep 1903 bolts stored. I can not find any
markings on the bolt root or near the lug.

The internal parts were not part of this bolt only used for the photos

Can anyone identify this bolt body ?

    Thanks, RobertDSCN2675.jpgDSCN2676.jpgDSCN2678.jpg

From what I can see in your pictures, you have an early Smith-Corona bolt. The bolt has been fitted with a replacement extractor collar. The original collar was stamped.

    J.B.

    p.s.,

Your bolt sleeve/firing pin assembly is from a late production Remington M'03-A3.
