It is a circa 1918 receiver with a much later ( 1938 ) barrel. The rifle appears to be in a WW2 Remington M1903A3 stock. In other words, a "parts" rifle put together by a government arsenal ( or someone else ). If the bore and headspace are good, it will be a good shooter.

Your rifle's serial number appears to have been ground down and re-stamped. The serial number currently visible, if original, dates from 1918. The barrel is a later replacement and the rifle shows evidence of having been overhauled and re-barreled circa 1938. The stock appears to be from a late Remington M'03-A3 and is not likely original to your rifle's last overhaul.
