testing my 22 rim fire conversion

I bought a low numbered Springfield 1903 action with a burned out bore from the CMP
awhile back. It was $100.00 shipped to my door (I think) I had a quality 22 rim fire
liner with a rear extension to fit the M2 rim fire bolt for $85 I bought the M2 bolt with the allen
head screw for headspace adjustment. I had a pre war Lyman 438 scope in 4X which
I mounted, I need to install the leaf and base if I return to iron sights.

I fired some CCI standard vel at around 20 to 25 feet to see if there was any accuracy
and it is looking good. I will try some target cartridges at longer range.dscn3183.jpg

Nice looking rim fire. There are a few gunsmiths or just guys that like to do these conversion
around. Also like any other rim fire, you have to test different brands to find the most accurate
