I have two 1903's. First one is an SA, serial 1,229,6xx, with a totally unmarked, pinned S stock. No finger grooves. The second is a Remington, serial 3,255,6xx, with a finger grooved stock. Stock bolts, only stamped w/P and a 5 behind the trigger guard. Solid rifles but mixmasters. I'm going to sell the SA to a friend. I know that it wouldn't make either one worth any more, but would there be any reason to switch stocks between the two? I'm not going to ask any more, just wondering if it wouldn't make both a little closer to what would be correct? Or, a little more correct "as I read it"??? Thanks. Greg
Which stock?
