Correct stock for Smith Corona 03a3

Ive been searching high and low to find what kind of stock is correct for a SC 03a3. I have heard conflicting reports of scant or straight. Any help is appreciated!

A straight, non-grasping groove stock would be correct. In addition, it would have the following characteristics:

    1) An FJA and ordnance "wheel" stamp on the left side no RA stamp)

    2) The circled P just aft of the trigger guard space would be 1/2" in diameter, not 7/16".

    3) The recess for the lower band spring ( the "flat" piece of metal which holds the lower band in place) would have a curved forward end; the Remington was squared off.

You can try a WTB ad on the sales forum on this and other military weapons sites. You might also try calling Dupage Trading.

If you want correct, we would need the serial #, or most of it, to know whether the correct stock should have "pins" or "bolts".

Stock should have bolts. 4 grooves on the barrel, huh? One of these days I'll find one with 2!

Looks like it ought to do the trick! Doesn't appear from the photos to have been sanded to death, or at all, for that matter (which is a good thing).
Would you mind sharing where it came from and a ballpark figure of what you gave for the set?

The ones I have bought have been, but others might not agree.
I know that sometimes SARCO has been loose with not putting REPRO on parts advertising for items that are REPROD.
Sometimes I use the web site for single orders. (When the item/history makes me feel pretty confident!)
Other times I call and ask the order taker to confirm the condition etc. and I get the order persons ID, so I can send it back with background information if need be.
So far I have been 99% happy with my SARCO purchases.
