Removal the two metal reinforcements clips from a 03A3 handguard?

And How to re-install on a new handgaurd?

Just acquired a used 03A3 handgaurd and a NOS without the clips.

What are recommended procedure to used?

as I remember, if you are careful you can spring them away with your fingers on both sides. The wood as you know is pretty thin so prying with any tools is a bit dicey. There was a tool used by the armory originally I think, it looked like a reverse plier with hook type jaws that expanded the edges of the clips. Jim

As jmm03 posted, I had heard you could "pinch" them off, but never tried it.
