    SN 113876 early?? (no shoot) or ok to shhoot?

    Sorry, I looked and I could not find SN cutoff dates on the good and the bad.

    That's in the Low Number range. Considered by many to be unsafe.

      Have the bolt and receiver magnafluxed. Most of the low-number rifles were OK, and the workmanship was top-notch.

          SHT 1903s should not be fired with live ammo... case head failures are pretty hard on them...worth the chance?
          Magnaflux wont stop that...doubt one would crack...likely it would chip.
          if you make the choice to fire a SHT rifle...make sure you use more common since when doing so..leather gloves, and safety glasses. and make sure nobody is next to you when doing so.
          if it aint broke...fix it till it finally is.
