    Anyone have a 10-28 SA M1903 barrel?

No, not to buy, just for comparison purposes.

I have two M1903s with 1928 barrels. One is a "high numbered" (1293257) Rock Island and the other is a low numbered RIA (125735), both with 1928 barrels. As you can see, both of the barrels have faint markings. I'm curious if this is just a coincidence, or if there was a whole slew of these barrels only faintly marked for some reason. If you have a rifle with one of these barrels, or have seen one, let me know, or better yet, post a picture if you have it.

Had RIA #406225 with SA 8-28 marks reasonably sharp and readable and #1323884 with SA 12-28 not particularly faint and readable. Hope this helps. Regards, John.

Don't have picture, but my 1903 Remington has a 12-28 barrel. It is struck lightly. Close to the same as your 12-28.
