Michael's rifles are contagious -- I kept drooling over his beautiful pictures until one day, a Griffen & Howe-modified NRA Sporter showed up!! We need to hold him personally responsible for the resulting lapse in moral and financial judgement caused by posting these pictures!!

(By the way, his book, "Custom Gunmakers of the 20th Century" is a wonderful book on this subject and I recommend it highly!)

All these rifles are beauties, I keep looking, one of these days I'll find one.
yes, all the screw in the rifle and scope and mount, cutoff, trigger and extractor all all gold plated. This is a pre-war (1938) rifle marked with franks name and not Pachmayer Gun Corp. Took me a couple decades to locate it.

I would have to see the other side of your mount but most likely a Noske.

Great! When you have the "wherefores" - where to get it and how much to pay, let us know.

I'd like to know if it has the modification to the end of the extractor and the safety lug to help hold the bolt closed.

I'm not sure I understand your question, that modification was done by Barney Worthen and I have not seen it on a Pachmayr.

              Typical Worthen bolt lock.

The Worthen shoots fine although I have not shot it in about ten year.

I took the Pachmayer take-down out last summer. I have one load I shoot in all my custom sporters.
