Unfortunately nothing close in the SRS books.

Anyway, great to see a gun post.

With all due respect, I do not understand this post.
These serial numbers have nothing to do with my SRS request, or anything else. (And, check that 8-digit serial number for March 1942.)

Please see my recent thread on my incoming Remington 1903. It shows a Serial Numbered receiver with a barrel marking/date that is consistent with new production. Feel free to share any insights or observations.

          Thank you.

I thought you were looking for NY info. SN shows Feb-Mar mfg, bbl shows it is probably original. Rifle probably never went thru arsenal rebuild.

What is SRS info you wanted?

              Thank you, PWC.
I appreciate your efforts. I was checking for a possible SRS hit for my serial number.
              Best regards.

Springfield Research Service. They dig up records of serial numbers of U.S. Martial arms, with any information on that serial number. Briefly here is part of letter received from SRS:

                  X's are mine.

This is in response to your letter of November 18, 1991, in which you
request available information on a M1903-A1 National Match Rifle, serial
1264XXX, purchased at Camp Perry, Ohio, by X. X. XXXXXX, Tucson,
                  Arizona, on September 26, 1931.

There are 4 books of serial numbers published by them.
