    RIA receiver

    Hi guys,
I'm looking for some help. A friend of mine bought a RIA receiver, SN #234555. He's trying to find out what year it was made and if it went through the Springfield rebuilt program. Anything you can tell me would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Highwaymen

The receiver was serialized in 1913 - without the 'rest" of the rifle it would be hard to tell where it went from there.

RIA receiver, S/N 234555, and associated action parts are all that remain from a 1913 Rock Island sales rifle, many of which were sold to civilian members of NRA-affiliated shooting clubs and are marked "N.R.A." on the trigger guard. But not all sales rifles were marked.

        Hope this helps.
