    Stock interchangeability

Can someone confirm if the stocks (not handguards) are the same for the 1903 and the 1903-A3.

    Thanks,

A M1903A3 stock will fit on a M1903, but not vice-versa; the handguard ring on the M1903A3 prevents it.

The hand guard ring is the only differance, easy to fix, if you must use the stock (03 stock to A3 rifle).
You can never go home again.

the cut for the recoil lug on 1903 stocks is not the same...it will have to be opened up as well.
if it aint broke...fix it till it finally is.

Not unless the stock is from a late Remington M1903. Just splittin' hairs!
