'03 rear sight marking

hello all,

i have a question about the manufacturer of a rear sight (everything above the collar). on the underside of the ladder is an M, no other markings. its my belief all parts of the sight are original to the ladder. my question... who made it? none of the 4 manufactures start with an M....

The "M" is an inspectors mark. Who made it ?? Need pics to determine that.

I have seen the "M" on several pre W.W.I Rock Island rifle rear sights.

I had a sight with the same mark and was told it was Rock Island on this website, some time ago. CC
