Wow! This seller must have found an old military stockpile!

Golly, this gentleman who's selling yet another M1910 scabbard must have discovered an old military stockpile of them! What a wonderful example it is too. It has just the right amount of dirt and dinge on it to indicate a little bit of age and use and yet is incredibly sound and unworn. Gosh! This scabbard also has darker (oiled) leather that indicates it has just got to be old and original. Shazzam! See, I can be nice if I want to be.

A few years back a guy in SoCal had a pile of these. All original and most in excellent condition. They came from a Hollywood studio prop room sale.

Not so strange.I've known collectors who bought stuff like that for years every time they ran across one. After years of buying they had piles of certain items. One fellows dad ran a surplus store after WW2 and had quantities of things from WW1 they couldn't get rid of at the time and were found years later in the warehouse.A couple of unopened crates of M1917 Plumb Bolo Knifes for one thing.

I'm just not convinced that it's legit. Not after seeing what the seller has sold before. But hey, I'm all done with warning folks about spending their hard earned cash for the scabbards from this guy. I just wanted to give a heads up. If they are happy with what they get. That's OK by me.

Well, currant bid is $15, so not a bad price even if it is a replica. I paid $40 for a replica.

Maybe folks have caught on after the others went for around $300.00 each. Coulda been that the buyers of each were not happy with what they bought after they showed off their scabbards and were advised what they'd really bought by someone. Anyway, they haven't been returning customers as far as I know. They Are good scabbards though and should be great for putting a bayonet in.

Funny how none of the leather is dried or cracked, and none of the stitching is loose like most you see. It sure looks like they are reproductions that have been artificially aged.

He has 100% positive feedback. Maybe they are legit. I agree though, it looks "aged" Ofcourse, some people will "age" legit items that don't sell because they are too nice. I'm not buying one to find out...LOL
