A few parts with drawing numbers

I have found a few 1903 parts with drawing numbers, not rare but still interesting. The NM trigger has a different drawing number.

Those are interesting. Any thoughts on the magazine floorplate?

      i have seen.
      rear sight,
      rear sight base,
      rear sight windage knob,
      extractor,
      follower,
      cocking rod,
      buttplate,
      handguard,
      C stock,
      sear,
      trigger,
      cut off,
and a floor plate with drawing numbers...none had nothing to do with being or not being a NM part. only parts made after 1935

I was about to say the same thing (although not the fine list that Chuck provided! ) - while parts with drawing numbers were used on 1935 and after M1903 National Match rifles, they were also used on non-NM rifles, including those overhauled. It is very common to find M1903 rifles with drawing numbers listed on sales and auction sites listed as "National Match", solely because of having a few parts with drawing numbers.

i think JB said something about the drawing numbers being used for a short time, for inventory...dont remember the exact quaote.
it was right about the same time the Garand came about with Drawing numbers..for the same reason..
