Sarco grasping groove stocks?

Does anyone here have experience with the Sarco reproduction M1903 stocks?

I can't track down a nice USGI stock for a decent price so I'm trying to find suitable reproductions

Is it me, or are the grasping grooves a little too narrow and/or high up along the sides of this stock?

I bought a C stock from them some years back, maybe 5 years ago. I think they were Italian made. It was the best fitting repro stock I've had, way better than Boyds/CMP. Hopefully the stocks they sell now are as good.
