yet, but my grapevine says there is a Remington M1903, serial 3142347, barrel marked 3-39 with a "star". Again I haven't seen it yet and the gun shop proprietor was not able to describe the "star" or its location other than on the barrel, on the telephone.

Could this be USGI-built? It is prior to production start-up (Harrison). Could the barrel have been in the bin from last production? No description of stock or stock markings at this time.

Barrel has been replaced...could be arsenal or by others. If serviceable with good bore and good over all condition then I'd say $700 tops.
