I traded one of my K98's to my brother for one. I think maybe it might have been a mail order rifle from back in the day. Park is a green color and still good. Barrel date 9-43. Serial 411660X. Its furniture is a cut down S stock. Bubba (not my brother) filed out the aperture sight to make it a V. Bubba left enough circle for me to imagine the missing part. I've only shot it 3 times at a 200yrds. Hit paper twice. Its been a lil nasty out today with 30mph winds, otherwise I would've taken a pic or two.

Is there a certain amount of posts I need to make to be able to post pics? It won't let me attach from my computer. I used to be a member here about 8yrs ago with the same username, and I remember posting pics of my other 03. Scroll to bottom of screen - on left there is a header labeled "Posting Permissions" - one of the entries below it should say "you may post attachments" - If it doesn't try signing on again - if it still doesn't work contact the administrator

Looks salvageable to me. Hopefully they didn't cut down the barrel. Looks like your missing the hand guard.
