    Dates of SPG stamp

What would the timeframe be for the boxed SA over SPG inspector stamp?

Stanley P. Gibbs was a civilian inspector at SA from 1936 to 1940, one of the few (if not the only) civilians whose initials appear in SA cartouches. As M1903 production was winding down at that point, few new production rifles received his stamp, but it is found on many that went through the rebuild process during his tenure. His primary claim to fame among US military collectors is that his cartouche will be found on gas trap M1 rifles.

His initials will also be found on post war rebuild garands too as I believe he worked at the armory until 1951

post WW2 SA SPG rebuild stamp

The post WW2 SA SPG rebuild stamp is different from the pre war stamps, the letters are the "fat" size as compared to the pre war "thin" letters
