Finally landed a mostly intact prewar SA, s/n 14xxxxx. 1936 barrel and Lyman 48 back sight. I want to make a Golden Age "Match Rifle"; basically just put military furniture and wood back on. Found a Type S witb finger grooves that won't be ruined by this cheap. Will a vintage military stock require fitting, or will I have to fit the stock regardless?
