A friend just sent me pics of a neighbors '03. Belonged to his grandfather.
It's a 1903 mfg Springfield #26058.
Rifle barrel has been chopped, scant stocked, and scope mounted. Looks dreadful actually. We're both aware of the low serial number also.
Any other info would be appreciated.
