Just my luck - ROD BAYONET RIFLE!

I recently ordered a replacement early cocking assembly for my RIA M1903 (1913, with the fraudulent bolt). It arrived today - wish I had inspected the seller's pictures closer prior..

Yup, Rod bayonet M1903 parts - non-marked mauser style safety with no cut, striker rod/cocking piece with single flat (no dual cut)... also got the collar, spring and shroud, but no striker.

NO WAY am I modifying these for the RIA, so anyone want to swap some gorgeous rod bayonet bolt parts for some nice RIA circa 1913 bolt parts with me?

I don't care if these are worth more or not, and I know they are attractive for a restorer of an RB rifle, but I just want a straight swap.

This one is not an original 1903 safety

Those are Sedgley cadet rifle parts, not Rod Bayonet parts.

Which one - mine or RCS's, or both? Mine match those in Brophy and Canfield as RB parts.

                Well ain't that a goose.

I guess I can have my machinist mill the slot in the cocking piece then. May as well use it.

Interestingly the shroud seems colour case hardened. I guess Sludgly did that
