1903 Springfield Multi bit Tool Screwdriver

I was at a show this weekend and a guy tried to sell me a 8 bit multi tool. The wood handle is hollow and it holds 8-10 bits, etc., I know I am starting to lose my mind but I know I have seen one in Brophy's book or somewhere. Bottom line is that I didn't buy the tool because I thought it was missing a few bits, etc., I have started searching through Brophy, etc., and I cannot find it anywhere. I don't think I'm dreaming this stuff up but if I am let me know. It has a wood handle that is hollow and it has about 8-10 bits ( I believe should have 10) and they fit in the handle when not in use. I know they are a common tool but I also believe they may have been part of an armorers kit...
