      Great stuff - looks like a jam at the end. Would have liked to see a bit more shooting, but I guess the ammo is an issue. Many thanks for sharing.

          I can see why, in a later test around 1919, that the troops said the .30 pistol round really wouldn't have impressed anyone of the receiving end.

            One bee stings you - no big deal; 25 or 30 - who knows? Plus the shock factor of a seemingly (for the time) never-ending spray of incoming.

              I think that the plan to have thousands of men walking forward towards the enemy trenches while firing would've resulted in thousands of US casualties from the German machine guns and entrenched riflemen. Just a bad idea.

                Another negative was having to "store" the original rifle bolt in a pouch on the belt while using the PD. Can you guess how many rifle bolts would have ended up lost and on the ground?
