    1903/A3 Opinion Needed

Hello, I looked at a Remington A3 yesterday. 4100000 range RA 10-43 barrel, bit worn FJA and circle P with those little marks in front of trigger guard. It was a quick look and most of what should be marked R was. What made me back off is there is a good size chip out of left side of hand guard by the muzzle. The price is 695.00 and they will not move on it. Any Thoughts?

NO RA on the stock? It may be an earlier stock. Replacing the handguard is a relatively easy fix. Maybe a little high, but not stratospheric. Did the stock have bolts or pins?

Thanx Rick, the stock had bolts and I could only see what was left of the FJA. Stock has lots of little bumps and bruises.
