    I bought a 1903 milled trigger guard...

And it is strange... First the floor plate is pinned to the magazine and I have not seen that before. It also has a "B" stamped on the floor plate? Any info as to why or or what the it is that way? Anyway, it meets my needs and was only $50 or so.

It's off a Greek return rifle. The Greeks pinned the floor plate to the receiver to prevent it (the floor plate) from falling out which sometimes happened with '03s. The "B" looking mark is to show, I've been told, that the floorplate was semi permanently attached to the weapon. It's perfectly fine, use it in good health. If you want to be able to drop the floor plate just remove the little brass pin its held on with.
