    maybe...
    the ones iv seen were punched hard enough, that removing the screws would be tough
    if it aint broke...fix it till it finally is.

      It's on a USMC rifle. I'm sure the screws have been out dozens of times since WWII. I assume they were originally located in the screw slots.

        loos like a scant grip stock? if so does it have the nice mill cut by the bolt handle??
        if it aint broke...fix it till it finally is.
