    Neat find.

      kind of a cartridge quiz

When I got these 30-03 cartridges (some years ago) there was some other five round cartridge clips
with cartridges from the same period (1903 to 1908) by their headstamps.

Can anyone guess the other calibers ? should not be difficultDSCN1457.jpg

The clips would indicate .303 British and maybe 7.62 Russian?

A very nice clip of U.M.C. Cal .30 M1903 contract cartridges.

It's interesting that Frankford Arsenal broke down most of the FA headstamped M1903 cartridges to convert the cases to the new M1906, making the original FA cartridges uncommon, bordering on scarce. U.M.C. loaded M1903 ammunition until 1907 and began making the new cartridges on contract in 1909.
