    Possible USMC 1903 Serial Number Check?

    Does anyone have any information on S/N 172583? It is an early SA manufactured rifle with serif type numerals on the receiver. I don't have the rifle in my possession yet however I should receive it soon. Pics show it has a Sedgley 7-41 barrel, "Hatcher" hole on the left side of the receiver, and the trigger guard screws appear to have been staked at one time. Pics and more information soon to follow. As always, any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated.

      Nothing close in SRS but sounds promising based on the description.
