    i now some guys that would love to have that Smith Corona stock
    if it aint broke...fix it till it finally is.

      With the inspection marks, I thought it was a remington?

        The Remington stocks have a 7/16" circle on the P proof, while the Smith-Corona has a 1/2" circle. Also the cut for the lower band spring on a Remington is cut square in the front where a S-C is round in the front.

        The arrow shows the square cut of the Remington stock.

          your rifle should have, staight grip, no grasping grooves, no mill cut for a handguard ring, RLB in a box marked, cross bolt, and not pins.
          someone removed the original rear sight, and base, dropped in in a SC stock, and A3 handguard with ring..
          should be a fine shooter,
          if it aint broke...fix it till it finally is.

            With hardly anything else being original, it is doubtful that the rifle would still retain it's original stock.
