SRS Check Please

SRS Check if possible. Do you guys think it may be USMC? It's a 1903 Springfield ser# 928617. It has an SA 8-42 barrel with no vise marks, it has a Hatcher hole and an electro-penciled bolt. The same color park on my other USMC rifle and an "S" stock with no cartouches. There is a character in the cutoff well and an "R" under the buttplate in some weird double font. The stock looks like it was scraped. Any info appreciated . Thanks. Stu

No hit on #928617 but #928618, along with several other close serial numbers are shown to have been shipped to Brooklyn Navy Yard in 1941.
