    1903 Springfield project completed

Back in April, I purchased a 1935 vintage Springfield. It had been turned into a 'Deer' rifle, but, the excellent bore, full length barrel and Nickel Steel receiver made it a worthy candidate for restoration for use as a 'shooter'. I have utilized an "S" stock because that is my preferred 1903 configuration.

It is all 'together' now and is showing good accuracy.

Very fine looking restoration! Always a joy to see such good work. Recognize that years ago, these 03 and 03-A3 rifles were not especially valued. But, nowadays... most folks recognize the error of such thinking. Good to see this rifle once again in issue condition and producing good scores at the range. Sincerely. bruce.

Thank you Gentlemen for the kind comments.

At the rate original Springfield made 'trapdoors', Krags, and 1903s seem to be getting 'broken down and parted out' on eBay and GunBroker, it is nice to bring one back.
