    Remington extractor?

I have a Rem M1917 in the 560K range and I'm trying to determine what extractor it should have. Should it have a hole or not? I looked in Ferris but could not find any reference to a hole and in Stratton It indicates all M1917's should have an extractor with hole. However, almost all M1917 extractors I see for sale are without hole. The bolt was in a CMP rifle and it came with a Remington no hole extractor so are the no hole extractors replacement parts or were some rifles manufactured without holes? Thank you in advance for any replies, regards,

My Remington M17 452K has a small hole at the forward area of the extractor just behind the claw face of the extractor.

In addition, my all Eddystone and all Winchester M17s have same hole in respective extractors, too.
