Just remembered that I have a take off from a 1917, #194444, that I got from the CMP a number of years ago. Changed it out for a R marked stock that I got off a fellow back in the early 60's. Only the bottom wood, no top wood. Nice looking piece of wood for being so old, did take off all the old gunk and grease and put some Tung Oil on it before I took it off. What's some thing like that worth? Obviously have no need for it, been sitting high and dry since I got the '17 in earl 2003. Who knows, there might be some metal in an old tackle box downstairs. Had to change some out to make it all Remington. Haven't looked in the box for years know. Neat video too!
