    1917 Color Guard

I was watching 'America's Book of Secrets' series 2 episode 8, "Presidential Cover Ups", when I spied a 1917 in some stock footage they were rolling through.

I though it odd that a US Army unit would have a 1917.

Good eyesight there Phil. It would seem odd for sure. Possibly setting up a new image, the dreaded Black Rifle might upset someone.

Probably borrowed it from a Legion or VFW post.

They even may be filling in for a VFW or A-L color guard...
