    Unknown parts

I'm trying to identify a handguard set. It is shorter and two piece with band groove on the front and barrel cllip riveted under the back half. The two pieces meet just under the sight leaf. It's kinda odd, I've never seen one before and was looking for ID and value. The barrel channel in it seems pretty small. When I get back this PM, I'll post pics, my internet has been down all day and just got working.
    Thanks,
    Randy

Sounds like a No.1, Mk.111 Short Lee Enfield. Value, of course would depend on condition. Many of these rifles have the pieces along side the sight broken off, so there may be some demand for then, perhaps depending on wood type.
You can never go home again.
