Barrel steps???

Hi, can anyone tell me if the barrel steps are the same configuration on all the military barrels such as the 98, Turk, etc, that used the step barrels? Also, if you have a large ring receiver with small shank barrel, does that barrel have the same dementions as a large ring receiver with a large shank barrel? Thanks in advance

Never found a need to measure such things, I'm afraid.

Steps in the barrel. I have no fewer than 30 mauser barrels, the Turk steps are the same, the outside diameter of the receiver for the M38 is the same, some were large ring/large shank, they had one barrel/receiver that fit one stock. I do have Mauser barrels that have different length steps.
