New M48 Mauser barrel, heads up!

Just received 2 brand new in the wrap M-48 Mauser barrels. They are in the white, never been blued or parked, no extractor cut, and have standard mauser threads. The contours are the same as the M-43 La Caruna Spanish post war Mausers, but I don't have a German 98 to check that. A great bargain at $55 each from Wideners.

Be aware that the Yugo M48 is an intermediate-ring Mauser short action.

Mausers are one of the few varieties of milsurps for which parts, including new old stock barrels, still turn up with regularity. I still see actions for sale at popular prices at gun shows and even milsurp ammo can still be found at quite reasonable prices sometimes.

WWI Kar98a? No, BUT a good gunsmith can do the work and fit it. The barrel is a large ring and the Kar98a is a small ring.
