small ring model 98 stock needed

anyone know of a commercial stock maker that makes one for a model 98 SMALL RING, not a military cut down stock, and no a std 98 will not fit, do not want to spend 300 bucks to have some one turn one

Keep looking on E-Bay, you will find one sooner or later.

There is Great Ameriacan Gunstock Co. Give them a call. Have an old catalog, 1 800 784 4867 or 916 671 4574, old numbers, may not be current. Yuba City, Cal. But I doubt you will get a new stock for much less then 300. Do some Google searchs, I think Bishop and the others are out of business.

I used a swede M96 stock on my Mexican small ring Mauser. It took a very small amount of knife work in the back are of the receiver, plus a small amount of acra-glass to get the job done. It's a Mexican Swede! I'm not sure if the same holds for the European small ring rifles, but I would not be surprised if it did. I think this could give you a much wider array of choices ...
