You probably have a model 98/22, adopted by the Czechs in 1922 and also made for export. In 1923 a new model was adopted (VZ-23, 24" barrel) and these were sold to turkey which also purchased new made 98/22's. The E pre-fix indicates it is one of the new ones made for Turkey, not a surplus ex-Czech rifle. Condition is everything and these are almost sure to be miss-matched and fair to good condition. The Turks were hard on rifles and they are old, after all. Value 150-200 or 'lil more. Not rare, dealers are still selling these and they can be found at most gun shows. Serial number should be on stock, barrel, reciever and bolt.

What exactly is a "turk" rifle?

A rifle used by Turkey. Many model Mausers going back over a hundred years. Well used and put away wet!
