1938 JP Saurer and Sohn Mauser 308

I know I will catch a lot of Flak for doing this, but it went together so smoothly and shoots so well,

Depends on condition when you started. I assume it was NOT a matched military!?

No, it wasn't, it was a Russian Capture, with Arsenal replacement parts, barrel was rusted.

It shoots rather well, I was surprised how accurate it was with a $80 barrel.

Nice rifle and the pre war K98 actions are a fine piece of machining.
