    Identifying a Mauser

Does anyone know of an illustrated reference for identifying military Mausers. I am not famaliar at all with the models and have quite a lot of parts and stocks etc. I am in the process of getting rid of it all and need to know what I have?
    Preferrably electronic reference, thanks.

I do not think pictures will do much for you and I doubt such a site exsists. There are literally over thousands of different models, for different countries, and model changes over the years to ID individual parts. Too many are near identical and use identaical parts. Better to post good pics and let the buyer know what he needs. You have to know general chariteristics of each model and proof/inspector marks, etc.
You can never go home again.

If you want to invest in a great reference source then get a copy of " Mauser Military Rifles of the World" by Ball. It was able to meed my needs. Rick the Librarian can probably recommend other sources.
