    WWI British rum jar

I have a clay jug of approx. one gallon size, gray-brown glazing, broad arrow and S.R.D. imprinted, that I'm told is a British Army rum jar from WWI. Any way to verify and determine value as I'm thinking I would like to sell it, but don't want to be mistaken. Thanks.

Get hold of John Sukey, the 'go to' guy for Brit. military stuff! Address a post to him on the Enfield rifle board.

I have the same thing. S.R.D. (Service Rum Diluted) If you took a shot of that stuff undiluted, the chances are it could kill you!
