There are opportunities here to find both buyers and sellers of firearms. There are also opportunities to get scammed. We recommend the following:
1. Do not deal with someone who is wiling to break federal law by shipping to anyone but an FFL. You can't trust a cheater.
2. If you spending more for a gun than you are willing to throw away, research and choose a reputable escrow company to hold the funds until you receive and are satisfied with your purchase.

I have been looking at M1956 pistol belts with horozontal weave, they seem to be readily available. My question...They have markings for size and the military numbers, but should there be a MFG. name or a date ?
Thanks
M56 belts will not have a manufacturers stamp. The maker stamping was replaced by the DA number system in 1953.The DA system was in use from 1953-61.It was replaced by the DSA number system in 1962 which was in use from 1962-77.There is some information available on deciphering the contract year date and the maker with the DA and DSA numbering systems.
