      I'd be inclined to say that it is an original from what I see.

              If it is real (probably) it is missing the extra layer of leather in the chin liner. I have always heard that on the originals the last 2 holes on each side that went through this layer as well and the strap. Looks to be a shadow of where it was but unless I miss my guess the holes only go through one hole on each side...hard to tell.
